The Oil Buying Network (OBN) was one of the earliest pioneers of the concept of group buying for heating oil. Founded in 1982 in Boston, MA it has become one of the largest heating oil cooperatives in the country, with tens of thousands of households participating in Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York.

Our Dealer Network
Every affiliated member dealer in the OBN network is a highly qualified, full-service heating oil supplier. You'll have access to 30-day net payment terms, budget billing, emergency service, available service contracts at reasonable rates, and more. When you join, your OBN representative will help you determine which company in our network is best suited for your needs.
The OBN Team
In addition to your savings, you'll also have access to our team of representatives who can help you check your oil price, request a quote on new heating equipment, answer questions about what's happening in the heating oil marketplace and more. It's like having a friend in the business.

Regular membership in OBN is $20 per year. If you are a senior citizen or a member of one of our affiliated labor unions you will likely qualify for a discount on membership.

As a member of OBN you will be placed with one of our full-service affiliated member dealers. To find out exactly who your oil company will be, either fill in the pre-qualifying form on our website or call us at 1-800-649-7473.

Who will perform my deliveries and services?
Your oil deliveries and service will be performed by your OBN supplier. You will receive your oil bills from them and you will pay them directly. If you have a problem with your heating system you will also contact them directly.

No. OBN members have historically renewed at a 96% rate annually which reflects an extraordinary level of satisfaction with their heating oil dealers.

How does OBN save me money?
OBN negotiates your discount directly with your local OBN affiliated heating oil supplier. In exchange for a large volume of business, these dealers significantly reduce their normal profit margins. You can expect to save between 10 and 25 cents per gallon on your heating oil.
